It is important to know that
the Fiji Bureau of Statistics is supplied with
figures from Revenue & Customs. The latter
trace the country of origin of a product to
the last call of port. For there is no direct
flight nor a direct shipping link between the
two countries the actual statistics look
distorted.
The reality is that Fiji is
importing many Swiss goods and services
directly or indirectly (i.e. the holding
company is registered in Switzerland).
