A reporter from the
daily newspaper "Fiji Sun"
rings us up. They would like to make an
interview for a feature article. |
Thursday,
29 May 2003, 11am |
The interview takes
place. We emphasise that no Fiji
companies should be named. We also said
that we would like to keep a low profile
until after the launch of the
association. |
Thursday,
29 May 2003, 2pm |
We receive a faxed
draft version of the article supposed to
appear in tomorrow's edition.
Immediately, we call the reporter and
say that this story has to be reworded
to reflect what we said in the
interview. |
Thursday,
29 May 2003, 3pm |
We retype
the article and make the necessary
changes and alterations. Our suggestions
are faxed back to the newspaper. |
Thursday,
29 May 2003, 4pm |
The reporter rings us
up and promised us that our changes have
been implemented in the modified
article. |
Friday, 30
May 2003, 8am |
The article
appears on page 24. It is a complete mix
up of the original draft and our
corrections. We are not happy at all but
will be more careful in the future. |
