Bulagirl's blog - March 2007
Saturday the 31st March 2007
It's a wet, cold morning here in Zürich. Could change to better conditions as
the day progresses.
Fiji defeats Portugal in their 2nd game at the Hong Kong Sevens. Fiji-28,
Portugal-7. Go, FIJI, GO!!!
Scotland also goes down to Fiji with the score 26-0. Keep up that winning
streak, boys and go for it.

BERN´S BEARS TO GET A NEW HOME
Friday the 30th March 2007
Pleasant conditions here in Zürich.
Today is the kick-off of the Hong Kong sevens in So Kon Po Stadium. This is a
Cathay Pacific/Credit Suisse sponsored tournament of which Fiji heads Pool A.
Having to grapple with Sri Lanka, Portugal and Scotland, initially, the players
must show 100% constructive rugby and never take any game lightly or
underestimate any team for that matter.
To the Fiji team…GOOD LUCK! and show the world what rugby sevens is all
about. GO, FIJI, GO!!!!!!¨
Fiji beat Sri Lanka 45 goals to nil, in their first pool game. Keep up the
good work boys. You're one notch up the victory ladder.

Snow and more snow forecasted for today Having their biological clockworks
disrupted, my burrowing friends have to retreat into their bunkers once again
Not to forget the birds which just flew in from the south, Do they have to
turn-tail and fly back? Then again did they ever go south in the first place?
This is considering the fact that Switzerland just had the warmest winter.
Today the United Nations observes it as WORLD METEOROLOGICAL DAY
POLAR METEOROLOGY : UNDERSTANDING GLOBAL IMPACTS is this year's theme.
Climate and the environmental conditions are the basic concepts of this day.
More so now than ever before , we the inhabitants of Earth, should be made aware
of what and why climate changes are happening .

SWISS WIN FRIENDLY AFTER FREI NAMED CAPTAIN
Thursday the 22nd of March 2007
Today is WORLD WATER DAY with the theme 'COPING WITH WATER SCARCITY'. Water,
an essential element for life, no doubt. If you have easy access to clean,
running water take time to think of the millions world-wide who are deprived of
this basic but vital element of life in one way or another My simple message…BE
GRATEFUL AND USE IT WISELY
My deepest condolences to the families and friends of the four whose lives
were tragically lost in a fire in Mead Road, Nabua, Suva, Fiji, early this
morning.
Like everything else, there are advantages and down-sides In this instance it
was the burglar-proof grilles which does the job as the name suggests (almost
always i.e.) but then when this humble servant turns into a raging and deadly
master, those grilles are mere death-traps. Choice is yours, grille yourself in
and avoid been mobbed, robbed or both or have easy, accessible exits throughout
the house in case of accidents of this nature. Installation of a smoke- detector
is another option, but only if your household is blessed with non-smokers and if
you can afford it, of course. Yeah, just some food for thought.

Sun is out with a chilly front blowing from the north. A walk to the lake and
on to the bridge linking the mainland to an artificial lake, next to where our
lady friend, Helvetia is regally posed. Hubby and I were entertained for about
half-an-hour of swan-dancing. We noticed 2 swans with out-stretched wings,
twirling in synchronized movements. It seems they were dancing to sounds audible
only to them. It was a spectacular sight as it was new to us. Maybe that's where
ballet movements derive from — The Swan Movement-so elegant and poised.

The sun is out and it’s going to be a glorious day. Still, that jacket has to

Can impunity end? Can it be controlled? How about stiffer penalties for the
perpetrators. Longer jail terms with no parole. I could think of a few more

Space and heartfelt sympathies for the grieving Rabaka family, of Votualevu, Nadi, Fiji, and not forgetting other families who have also lost loved ones via
these brutal means. May the souls of your loved ones rest in peace and those
responsible brought to justice soon for their deplorable actions.
Does the word 'justice' exist in Fiji no more? Where do people turn to now for
answers to the many questions regarding the downright inhumane loss of loved
ones? Yeah, right… just get yourself into some camouflage gear, grab a gun and
that gives you the right to smother young, human lives? Really and truly
pathetic!!
